About the Position: This position is responsible for adaptively managing a program to implement legally mandated biological requirements for aquatic species in the Willamette Valley system.

Duties

Coordinates overall management direction on associated projects and activities, and integrates with related programs that contribute to meeting the overall objectives, to meet district commitments in an optimal and effective manner. Develops and validates overall Program Management Plan and annual Implementation Plans to maintain an integrated and aligned District posture. Coordinates and monitors the funding, scoping, scheduling, and status of work between Corps operating elements. Functions as the district representative for the program and is delegated substantial independence on technical and managerial actions working with district resource providers and Vertical Team leadership. Represents Deputy District Engineer for Project Management in engagements with external parties and higher headquarters, as directed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
