About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Pine Bluff Arsenal in Pine Bluff Arkansas. This position serves as a Freight Rate Specialist, classifying, routing, and rating domestic and export shipments of hazardous and general supplies via all modes of transportation.

Duties

Classifies, routes and rates domestic and export shipments of hazardous and general supplies and Chemical Defense Equipment (CDE) and conventional ammunition for Pine Bluff Arsenal. Utilizes technical guides and publications to ship a wide variety of commodities. Maintains accurate transit documents and control records for an organization. Uses various office automation equipment, databases, and transportation systems to track and retrieve required data.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug test and then annually through random testing thereafter.
  • Technical Transportation of Hazardous Material Certification required within 6 months.
