About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Blue Grass Army Depot. This position serves as a Inventory Management Specialist performing a variety of inventory management functions.

Duties

Conducts projects and studies related to the execution of the quality control programs for inventory control and receipts functions. Reviews adjustments to records for accuracy and completeness. Participates in planning and determining current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs for items of low and medium monetary value. Provides assistance for lower graded personnel. Communicates assignments and timelines to team members for completion. Participates in systems analyses of programs and problems associated with supply systems. Analyzes rejected transactions to determine systemic causes.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position is Non-Critical Sensitive (2) requiring a Secret security clearance; the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • This is a testing designated position. Personnel are required to sign DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program).
  • Personnel must pass drug screening prior to hiring and will be subject to periodic and random drug testing, thereafter, in accordance with AR 600-85 and Department of Defense Directive 2010.9.
  • This position requires lifting of at least 30 lbs.
  • This position requires a pre-employment physical, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes completing a variety of inventory operations tasks such 1) Monitoring inventory record systems for accuracy.2) Recommend corrective actions for inventory discrepancies3) Assist management with the developing inventory management policies and procedures for the organization. OR Education:Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience:A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information ManagementOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
