About the Position: The purpose of this position is to perform professional duties such as (1) recommend, coordinate, and assist supervisors/managers in the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the District O&M projects; and (2) to facilitate and/or participate in overall condition assessment of assets and use information in budget development.
Duties
Serves as staff specialist regarding matters of a technical engineering/construction/maintenance nature as they relate to the asset management program
Participates in project inspections at assigned projects to assure condition assessments are accomplished according to policies and instructions.
Serves as the assigned project’s expert on Asset Management, inputting data into asset management programs such as FEM, AMPA, OCA, ORA, etc.
Assists other local personnel with program and budget development.
Utilizes Facilities, Equipment, and Maintenance (FEM) program at assigned projects to track all project maintenance and ensure that proper maintenance records are kept.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Conducting facility project inspections to evaluate condition of components and systems such as electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulic; (2) Evaluating use patterns to identify maintenance, repair, and construction requirements; (3) Operating a computerized management system to track, schedule, gather data, and perform analysis of projects/programs; and (4) Developing a short term investment plans that guides routine and non-routine budget development.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
