This position is located in the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), and reports to the Chief of Staff to the Attorney General in Washington, D.C. The Administrative Office Manager is to oversee and implement the full range of administrative operations for the OAG, including budget, personnel, facilities, security, and records and correspondence management.

The duties and responsibilities for a Administrative Office Manager generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
1) Advises the Chief of Staff and/or designee on matters relating to personnel management, including Senior Executive Service guidelines and procedures; workforce operations; and organizational structure, to ensure and/or improve organizational effectiveness.
2) Supports, and is principal advisor to the Chief of Staff for the OAG on administrative management issues and is responsible for conducting periodic reviews and inspections to identify problem areas and eliminate ineffective procedures or processes, etc.
3) Submits annual budget requests and tracks budget execution
4) Serves as the principal manager of the Attorney General's dining facilities.
Serves as the Security Program Manager, responsible for overseeing the Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) to ensure efficient OAG processes in the event of a security emergency.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Administrative Office Manager, (GS-0301-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current Department of Justice employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or equivalent band in the Federal service, which includes: 1) Accomplishing administrative and human resources functions for the office, supervising and directing the work of subordinates; 2) Overseeing the implementation of a range of administrative operations, including budget, personnel, facilities, security, and records and correspondence management; and 3) Determining administrative purposes, solving problems and providing direction and oversight to a diverse workforce.
