Duties

Serve as Contract Specialist to evaluates contractual actions taken to ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and command acquisition instructions. Develops policies and procedures necessary to implement the FAR, DoD FAR Supplement, and AFARS, and develops command acquisition instructions. Coordinates and evaluates the work of subordinates to assure a balanced workload and timely responses to assigned actions. Ensures compliance with GPC and Small Business procedures and program goals.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.
