This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology(OIT). As a Senior Advisor, GS-0301-15, you will serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert for developing, CMS's IT Vision and Strategy, with direct accountability to the CMS CIO for the agency's IT Strategic Plan and Implementation Plan.

Duties

Serves as the Senior Program Manager, technical authority and subject matter expert responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining CMS's IT Vision and Strategy, reporting directly to the CMS CIO. Develops, monitors, and reports on key IT program deliverables, ensuring alignment with CMS's strategic objectives and stakeholder requirements. Oversees risk management strategies for the CMS IT strategy, proactively identifying potential risks, developing mitigation plans, and ensuring successful project delivery. Advises CMS leadership on emerging technology trends, risks, and best practices in IT governance, providing recommendations for adjustments to the strategic plan and implementation efforts.
