You will serve as an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic in the FRC Mid-Atlantic of FRC SE DET MIDLANT OCEANA.
Duties
You will diagnose electrical control circuits on motor starters to determine operational working condition.
You will interpret operating procedures to maintain, and repair fixed and semi-fixed machinery.
You will adapt troubleshooting and repair techniques to newly installed or modified systems incorporating unusual circuitry with limited or no technical information.
You will test components and parts (e.g., regulated power supplies, choke coils, thermistors, relays, switches, resolvers, generators, motor drive controls) to determine operational functionality.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- May be required to obtain and maintain special certification or license if assigned work requiring special certification or licensing to perform the work or use the specialized tools or equipment.

Receives electronic work assignments and is responsible for diagnosing and isolating the nature and extent of system failures.
Perform planned preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance and repairs to state-of-the-art industrial electronically controlled multi-integrated systems and equipment.
Advise engineering and facilities personnel on proposed system upgrades and modifications, identify required parts, complete paperwork.
Develop techniques to effectively approach system malfunctions and associated repairs, for depot level aviation equipment and facilities.
Apply experience in working with aviation depot-level equipment to troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment to full functionality.
Gather data electronically to support troubleshooting depot-level aviation equipment and facilities.
