You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the ACQUISITION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT GROUP of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will advise program managers on communicating program or project requirements (e.g., integrated product team, working groups, technical exchange) for meeting a program's strategic objectives.
You will discuss program problems with senior leaders.
You will collaborate across multiple Department of Defense (DoD) organizations to integrate program and acquisition strategy.
You will determine solutions to program issues to facilitate meeting program objectives.
You will create strategic resource planning efforts to sustain operations across an enterprise.
You will write justifications to support the formulation of programs and plans.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field A Level 1. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Develop and implement management policies, controls, and operating procedures for overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the Logistics Information Technology Portfolio comprised programs that provide the software solutions required to keep Naval Aviation platforms and weapon systems operationally available; 2) Make the business and technical management decisions for successful execution of the assigned programs; 3) Manage daily business and provides technical management of the LOG IT Portfolio; 4) Establish detailed initial and long-range LOG IT Portfolio program objectives in compliance with formally established requirements of the Departments of the Defense and Navy, including advocacy of current Acquisition Reforms; 5) Plan, program, budget, and execute LOG IT Portfolio funding requirements; 5) Manage the execution of LOG IT Portfolio system design, development, test and evaluation, and integrated system support in compliance with objectives from higher authorities; 6) Direct and coordinate implementation of the LOG IT Portfolio products; 7) Formulate acquisition strategies incorporating current concepts and evolving IT Governance policies; 8) Ensure contract compliance.
