You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the TESTING SURVEILLANCE & CALIBRATION DIVISION, MEASUREMENT SCIENCE & ENGINEERING DEPARMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Duties
You will serve as an laboratory technician in the area of Radio Frequency and Electrical Test and Evaluation.
You will operate and maintain RF and Electrical test equipment (RF network analyzer, cable tester, and TRIDENT-unique electrical signal tester) to include troubleshooting electronic components.
You will assist in the development of test procedures to ensure accurate and repeatable test results.
You will provide professional electrical and electronics technical support for TRIDENT weapons components.
You will utilize network analyzers, RF cables and components, spectrum analyzers, power meters, synthesizers, oscilloscopes, digital and analog meters, and hand and power tools.
You will assist in the resolution of RF test anomalies, test equipment, and perform AC and DC electrical tests and take measurements.
You will develop check-out, calibration and proofing operation methods for mechanical and electronic subsystems and components; as well as establish, schedule, and coordinate continuous maintenance programs for test equipment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the NT-04 pay band: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning and conducting the testing and evaluation of electro-mechanical systems or components to analyze data and identify corrective actions or solutions for a warfare program.
For the NT-03 pay band: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-02 (GS-05 to GS-08 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying engineering concepts and practices to conduct the testing and evaluation of electro-mechanical systems or components and ensure the quality, safety and reliability of warfare systems.
