You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the Surface Combat Systems Training Command of SCSTC LTFLANT.

Duties

You will instruct and certify students in Advanced Electronic theoretical principles and techniques associated with 2M electronic repair. You will evaluate significant matters such as the grading system, admission policies, course prerequisites, objectives and contents, instructional methods, curriculum failure and attrition, and student counseling needs. You will provide subject matter expertise in planning, development, preparation, and maintenance of instructional material. You will provide guidance for students and student projects, give lectures and participate in advanced technical discussions, and/or participate in planning and developing or evaluating and revising the curriculum. You will resolve instructional problems related to typical motivational concerns managing a wide variety of classroom situations and independently plan and carry out training sessions within prescribed course framework.

Requirements

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You must meet minimum vision requirements, which may be met with corrected vision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Instructing and certifying students in Advanced Electronic theoretical principles and techniques associated with 2M electronic repair; 2) Evaluating significant matters such as the grading system, admission policies, course prerequisites, objectives and contents, instructional methods, curriculum failure and attrition, and student counseling needs; 3) Providing subject matter expertise in planning, development, preparation, and maintenance of instructional material; 4) Providing guidance for students and student projects, giving lectures and participating in advanced technical discussions, and/or participating in planning and developing or evaluating and revising the curriculum. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
