Duties
Queries, monitors and controls various application systems to effectuate entitlement and/or change pending actions.
Effectively evaluates data to ensure that all pertinent information/documentation has been obtained.
Utilizes various means of communication to secure, relay and/or clarify information to resolve issues and take action.
Investigates, analyzes and makes binding decisions on a variety of earnings, entitlement and/or benefit related issues and takes appropriate action.
Establishes, reviews and takes appropriate action on various controls such as trial work diaries, matured trial work diaries, direct mail development requests and outstanding development requests.
Monitors unpaid claims through the adjudication process to ensure timely action.
Requirements
- Proof of ICTAP or Military Spouse eligibility required
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Selective Service Registration, if applicable (www.sss.gov)
- Fingerprinting and background and/or security investigation may be required
- Job offers are contingent on fingerprinting and background / security investigation results

Qualifications
For GS-07: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-06 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience must include analyzing issues and making determinations on cases, reviewing guidelines and regulations to determine the specific provisions that are applicable to each case, determining the status of the case and the time expected for processing the case, determining claim amounts taking into account the particular personal circumstances of the individual claimant, investigating and resolving earnings discrepancies and out of balance earnings reports, assisting employers with earnings reporting issues.
