About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Hospital in Twenty Nine Palms, San Bernadino County, California.

Duties
Serves as the Appointed Personal Property (Accountability Property) Manager. Responsible for the comprehensive management of medical/dental equipment and automated data processing assets of the command.
Develops and implements equipment management policies, procedures, and guidelines for the Medical Treatment Facility.
Provides advisory services to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment.
Collaborates with functional personnel to resolve complex problems using automated supply systems.
Prepares complete technical descriptions of requested items and determines the source of supply and the accuracy of independent Government estimates.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience providing technical assistance and training, diagnosing causes and/or equipment degradation and malfunctions, AND submitting work orders for Medical Equipment Repair Element.
OR
Education: Successfully completion of a Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree a major study in Business Management, Engineering, or related field of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least one year of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required two years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
