About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Hospital in Twenty Nine Palms, San Bernadino County, California. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Serves as the Appointed Personal Property (Accountability Property) Manager. Responsible for the comprehensive management of medical/dental equipment and automated data processing assets of the command. Develops and implements equipment management policies, procedures, and guidelines for the Medical Treatment Facility. Provides advisory services to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment. Collaborates with functional personnel to resolve complex problems using automated supply systems. Prepares complete technical descriptions of requested items and determines the source of supply and the accuracy of independent Government estimates.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: I have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have at least one year of graduate education as described in B, but less than the required two years. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
