This position is located in the DEA, Office of the Administrator.
This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the principal liaison between the Deputy Chief of Staff and DEA organizational units performing a wide range of administrative, management and programmatic assignments.
Duties
As a your typical work assignments may include:
Serve as the principal point of contact for staff integration, special projects, administrative coordination, and dissemination of information.
Organize and composes executive-level correspondence, memoranda, and reports, and independently researches and gathers data and informational materials.
Provide financial support for the Office of the Administrator to include front office inspections, internal controls, travel logistics and financial management programs.
Oversee and manage actions relating to budget and resource allocation, Table of Organization Management, procurement activities, purchase card program, and UFMS roles and responsibilities.
Participate in special projects, public activities, agency initiatives and performs special assignments for the Office of the Administrator.

Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcripts with your application.
GS-12: Applicants applying for the GS-12 must have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-11 grade level performing the following duties:1) Coordinating the administrative work of an office; 2) Receiving, reviewing, and responding to inquiries from internal and external entities; 3) Preparing correspondence, making travel arrangements, and scheduling meetings; 4) Identifying administrative program problem areas and making recommendations on policy changes; and 5) Planning and participating in special projects and agency initiatives.
GS-13: Applicants applying for the GS-13 must have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-12 grade level performing the following duties: 1) providing guidance and technical advice to subordinate staff; 2) analyzing initiatives and issues related to administrative matters affecting the executive level offices and developing guidelines affecting administrative operations; 3) exercising control over executive level calendar, scheduling and prioritizing appointments and meetings; and 4) reviewing, analyzing and controlling complex correspondence, reports, documents and other materials for Executive staff.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
