This position is located in the Office of Professional Conduct (OPC), Intake & Investigations Section, Investigations Unit of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and receives and reviews allegations of misconduct, harassment and retaliation and plans for and investigates those allegations by collecting and reviewing evidence, scheduling and conducting witness interviews; and preparing a written report of investigation.
The duty location is determined upon selection.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-12: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11-grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience receiving and analyzing allegations of misconduct, harassment or retaliation; providing guidance to complainants on the investigative process; and reviewing reports of investigation from internal and external offices.
CG-13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12-grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience receiving and analyzing allegations of misconduct, harassment or retaliation; providing guidance to complainants on the investigative process; reviewing reports of investigation from internal and external offices; and briefing leadership on investigation findings.
