You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the EXPEDITIONARY MAINTENANCE CENTER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will query automated supply systems extracting information to resolve data discrepancies, respond to questions, provide status, or verify information.
You will contact vendors to obtain or negotiate prices, delivery, discount terms, transportation, or other order provisions.
You will maintain customers' accounts (e.g., keep record of customer interaction and transactions, comments, complaints) to follow up on any ongoing issues.
You will maintain stock levels to ensure the depth of material is on-hand or due-in to meet customer demands.
You will write specifications (e.g., correct nomenclature, part number, stock number, other data) to identify material needed.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a 15,000 lb. forklift operator’s license, within 6 months of hiring date, through Navy provided training program.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Learning and mastering new computer programs; 2) Displaying full utilization of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for business operations; 3) Using and tracking credit card purchases; 4) Submitting purchase requisitions; and 5) Effectively communicating with internal and external customers regarding procurement packages and general inquiries.
