You will serve as a Deputy Assistant Director in the Resource Management of NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND.

Duties

You will provide expertise in program leadership and management within service organizations with technical functions, including budget planning and execution for program budgets. You will direct the day to day management planning, integrating, collaboration, synchronizing, and coordinating documentation of requirements and authorization documents for NHHC. You will have delegated authority to approve personnel actions and exercises discretionary authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds. You will provide a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness. You will provide knowledge of DOD/DON principles and policies to ensure program compliance with policies and in measuring and evaluating program accomplishments. You will direct and manage top level, high visibility efforts involving strategic business planning, continuous improvement issues and/or program integration. You will perform full range of supervisory responsibilities. You will ensure consistency between future goals, program efficiencies, status of accomplishments, process achievers, and costs, balanced against mission priorities and efficiency.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing a number of administrative functions including budget planning and execution, correspondence tracking, staff professional development, internal and external reporting, and performance assessment planning and preparation; 2) Exercising position management responsibilities, ensuring that subordinate job descriptions are current and accurate and that the position structure of the organizations is designed and structured to ensure optimum efficiency, effectiveness, and economy in accordance with Human Resources Policies; 3) Making recommendations for process improvement and analysis of processes for problem areas and solutions; 4) Planning, developing and managing a diverse set of business functions and skilled professionals to achieve high levels of performance supporting the larger organization and organization's mission; 5) Preparing, justifying, and administering program budgets and monitoring expenditures, balancing spending priorities, and using cost-benefit thinking to set priorities.
