About the Position: Manages and administers the Security and Law Enforcement Program.
This position allows for situational telework only. This position is not eligible for full-time telework.
Duties
Establish security program according to Army Regulations.
Advise appropriate officials of methods of control and/or elimination of security risks.
Coordinate investigations of allegations of crimes against person(s) and/or property.
Develop and/or review scopes off work for contracts.
Establish Antiterrorism programs which includes collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat information.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Requires incumbent to obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within the first two years of employment.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
- This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition off Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
- This position is subject to random drug testing in accordance with EP 600-1-3.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is required thirty (25%) percent of the duty time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: managing a security and/or law enforcement program, advising appropriate personnel on security requirements and/or issues to eliminate risks, and collect, analyze, and/or disseminate threat information as an Antiterrorism official. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
