Duties
This position is located under the Office of Public and Governmental Affairs, Digital Media Division, Web Media Branch in Washington, District of Columbia.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Senior Communications Specialist developing, implementing, and evaluating communication and marketing plans and strategies used to inform the public about ATF programs and services.
Qualifications
To qualify for 14, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level 13.
Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in the resume. Specialized experience includes:
Implementing, and evaluating communication and marketing programs, projects goals and objectives.
Serving as subject matter expert for web development and utilizing communication and marketing channels.
Managing the testing and dissemination of science and audience-based communication and marketing products, tools and messages (i.e., written, electronic, and/or audiovisual formats).
Managing oversight of state, regional or national communication and marketing projects and campaigns and overseeing contracts for the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication of marketing activities and materials.
Preparing communication and marketing program/project reports and plans, leading teams and work groups, conducting briefings and meetings, and gaining consensus among divergent viewpoints.
