You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience in advanced legal patent examination processes sufficient to apply expert and diversified engineering, scientific and legal processes, concepts, theories, and practices in petition evaluation. Experience in supervising a diverse workforce. Selective Placement Factors: Candidates must possess the following for consideration: 1. Applicant must have full signatory authority. 2. Applicant must have passed the Certification Examination, the most recent Recertification, Manager Candidate Exam or the Agent's Examination.
