Duties
This position is located in the Workforce Relations Division
(WRD), Office of Human Resources (OHR), Office of the Chief Administrative
Officer (OCAO), in the United States Capitol Police (USCP). Responsible for
planning, developing, and overseeing the USCP's Reasonable Accommodations and
Work-Life Programs. The incumbent provides expert technical guidance and
advisory services for the programs and labor relations functions. As required,
the incumbent advises and assists employees and managers in conduct,
performance, attendance, dispute resolution, and various labor relations
matters. As a technical advisor for the Reasonable Accommodation Program, the
incumbent provides senior officials with guidance and policy interpretation for
reasonable accommodations, including requests for Temporary Restricted Duty,
Religious Accommodations, Extended Absence, and Shaving Waivers.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For the CP-11 level you must have one year (52 weeks)
of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CP-10/GS-12 level which
includes 1) interprets and provides instructions on laws, regulations,
policies, and procedures, and develops guidance on appropriate courses of
action; 2) provides advice, guidance training, and outreach to employees and
managers with assigned programs and projects; and 3) responds to difficult
issues that involve complex projects, and problems that require expert advice
