As an Attorney Advisor (General) at the GS-0905-15, you will be part of Office of Field Programs, Field Mgt Programs, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. If selected, you will serve as the FMP expert and coordinator of the Field Management Program, providing overall management, development, implementation and support for all aspects of the program.
Duties
Serves as the primary liaison for field staff with direct responsibility for field management issues and to other agency staff involved in this or related programs.
Ensures coordination on all aspects of the program including policy, legal interpretations, operations, budget, staffing and operational procedures to implement the Commission's mission of implementing field management program.
Serves as the point of contact for inquiries from Congress, other federal agencies and governmental entities on procedural matters relating to the Field Management Program.
Serves as the FMP Director’s legal expert on draft legislation, Congressional actions, and the legality of legislative proposals.
Prepares necessary legal documents, advisory opinions for administrative personnel, drafts or comments on proposed legislation or changes in regulations.
Directs and oversees various program operations that include professional staff (i.e. attorneys) and other technical and administrative staff of Field Management Programs.
Represents FMP in meetings, negotiations, or discussions with other agency offices and other federal agencies and stakeholders.

- Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
- Must have an Active BAR Membership in Good Standing. If selected, must maintain active bar membership in good standing while employed as an attorney with EEOC
- This position is in the Excepted Service
Qualifications
For the GS-15:You must have earned a professional law degree (J.D. or LL.B.) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, be an active member of the BAR, and have 4 years of professional legal experience with at least one year being equivalent to the 14 level.
Professional legal education above the first professional law degree may be substituted for experience required as follows:(a) The second professional law degree (LL.M) may be substituted for one year of experience (b) The third law degree (J.S.D) may be substituted for one year of experience beyond the LL.M.
