The DOJ Office of the Inspector General (OIG) seeks an experienced, highly motivated Senior Counsel providing critical insight and guidance on investigation matters of the OIG's highest priority investigations. The ideal candidate has significant experience providing legal recommendations to high level officials, sensitive in nature involving high level government officials; reviewing a variety of reports; and serving as a liaison or representative of the OIG to internal/external stakeholders.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

- Annual financial disclosure statement, SF-278 required.
- You may be subject to a probationary period.
- Selective Service Registration is required, as applicable.
- You must submit the Mandatory Technical Qualifications narratives to be considered for the position.

- You must have received a J.D. from an accredited law school, be an active member of the bar (any jurisdiction), and have at least 5 years post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.

Mandatory Technical Qualification(s) (MTQs): Applicants must submit a written narrative for each MTQ limited to one page per MTQ. Failure to meet or fully address each Mandatory Technical Qualification will eliminate a candidate from further consideration.
Demonstrated experience conducting and advising investigators and agency or organization leadership on broad, complex investigations from an Office of the Inspector General, Internal Affairs, Professional Responsibility, or comparable office; substantial experience performing extremely complex legal analysis to draw well-supported conclusions; and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Demonstrated experience advising and supporting investigators in organizing, drafting, and editing complex investigative reports; outstanding writing, editing, and collaborative communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively with investigative subjects, victims, and witnesses, or their counsel.
