Duties
You will be the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Program Manager for Marine Corps Base Quantico.
You will plan, coordinate, and ensure preparation and timely submission of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation as required by federal and DoD component regulations and policy.
You will interpret policies, plans, and programs and evaluate performance data against broadly established objectives, goals, and standards.
You will monitor and coordinate, through the NEPA review process, with other professional personnel engaged in environmental compliance programs to ensure all obligations are included in the construction, operation and maintenance of MCBQ facilities.
You will identify pollution abatement requirements to be included in military construction programs or in projects to be supported with funds from operations and maintenance, Marine Corps, or other appropriations.
You will serve as Project Manager providing professional and technical administration of A/E Contracts for environmental work.
You will plan, coordinate, and ensure preparation and timely submission of plans and reports to higher authority.
You will represent MCBQ and actively participates in consultations, meetings, conferences, and committees involving policy and other matters pertinent to environmental compliance and remediation.
You will write and edit official correspondence to local, state, and Federal agencies on behalf of the Commander, Marine Corps Base Quantico.
You will plan, prioritize, and manage the section budget.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license. Government driver's license and training will be provided.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing natural resources management support and advice within the command including formulating plans, implementing techniques, and developing a broad base of strategies and procedures to conduct the natural resources conservation and management process.
