Duties
Manages the efficiency and effectiveness of a supply chain.
Monitors, reviews, and analyzes customer support and key performance data.
Provides recommendations for continuous improvement of sourcing strategies.
Communicates regularly with customers, contractors, and functional specialists regarding customer and contract support issues.
Participates in the planning, execution, and administration of initiatives and strategies in support agency policies, procedures, and goals.
Prepares, administrates, and facilitates the Demand/Supply Alignment and Materiel Planning meetings, presents the issues to the participants, and helps to achieve issue resolution.
Provide, receive and analyze Supplier Collaboration intelligence to maximize efficiencies in meeting demands.
Uses PowerPoint, Excel and other industry reporting tools to compile, report and analyze data.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Sourcing Strategy Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. In addition to meeting the Basic Education Requirement above, to qualify for the GS-12 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Serving as an analyst/advisor in developing key strategic sourcing program recommendations.
Monitoring, researching, and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Analyzing items with respect to customer demand, product characteristics, procurement history, future customer requirements, and supplier capability.
Analyzing trends affecting item planning activities.
Comparing supply requirements to constraints, for shortfall identification and risk assessments.
Working with laws, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to planning and inventory management.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
