This position is located within the Western Oregon Service Unit (WOSU), Department of Behavioral Health Services. WOSU provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health. WOSU consists of the Chemawa Indian Health Center. The purpose of this position is to oversee, direct, and provide therapy services that are delivered to the students at the Chemawa Indian School and to provide direct care services, and has direct supervisory control over a subordinate staff of Mental Health Professionals
Duties
Provides direct care services, and has direct supervisory control over a subordinate staff of Mental Health Professionals.
Provides assurance compliance with accreditation requirements AAHC, Oregon Health Authority School Based Health Center Certification, CMS, etc.
Formulates and implements treatment plans for patients, Provides a wide range of psychological testing, evaluations and clinical services.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Degree: major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements, as stated below:
Clinical psychology: For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples Include: work as a psychologist in a mental health setting clinic or hospital while providing psychological evaluations, delivering therapeutic mental health treatment modalities for patients. Provide consultation, collaboration and follow up. Assist and refer patients with acute, chronic or severe mental illnesses and dual diagnosis patient populations. Use an electronic health records for patients.
Selective Placement Factor:
Ability to independently provide direct services to patients as evidenced by a current, valid, active, unrestricted license, as a Clinical Psychologist in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
