As a Supervisory NBE/BE (Director for BIT Policy), you will plan, organize, implement and direct activities associated with bank information technology programs and systems. Formulate, develop, coordinate, and implement bank information technology policies, examination tools and training necessary for the OCC to fully supervise bank information technology-related activities. This position is located in Bank Supervision Policy, DC Operational Risk Policy, BIT Policy in Washington, DC.

Duties

As a Supervisory NBE/BE (Director for BIT Policy), you will: Direct the development, coordination, and consistent implementation of appropriate supervisory policies and examination guidance for bank information technology-related issues across the MCBS, Large Bank Supervisory programs and Significant Service Provider programs. Analyze BIT-related operations and industry trends, technological innovations, new products and services development to help identify emerging risks and regulatory issues, and recommend appropriate changes in existing examination policy, procedures and guidelines. Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex technological problems or issues having wide and long-range OCC and industry impact and address such matters across agency, organization, and industry boundaries ensuring operational and conceptual integration of technical activities in pursuit of the agency's mission. Formulate annual BIT policy related action plans to meet OCC and Committee on Bank Supervision (CBS) goals and objectives, ensuring consistency with the OCC's mission and strategic plan. Lead, motivate, and develop an expert staff and evaluate performance in accordance with OCC guidelines and make personnel decisions regarding hiring, promotions, adverse actions, etc.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VI band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: Experience conducting examinations, audits, or internal reviews to evaluate a financial institution or service provider's IT risk with regard to bank information technology activities (e.g., development/application of IT controls, data management, network/technology infrastructure, IT governance, information security/cybersecurity processes and controls, third party risk management, etc.); AND Experience assessing compliance with applicable banking laws and regulations with regard to Bank Information Technology. AND Experience leading projects regarding bank information technology activities (e.g., development/application of IT controls, data management, network/technology infrastructure, IT governance, information security/cybersecurity processes and controls, third party risk management, etc.) for a financial institution. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
