As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as an Assistant Branch Manager within the Office of the Deputy Associate Administrator for Airports (ARP-2), Alaska Regional Airports Division (AL-600)

Duties

Provides principal technical advice and guidance to the Airports Division Director, Deputy Director, and four Airports District Offices (ADOs) in the administration of airport engineering/standards, airport certification, and other safety programs. Oversees and makes recommendations regarding assigned programs to the Division Director and Deputy Division Director. Leads, supervises and directs a diverse group of administrative and technical professionals that support the safety and standards programs for airports in the National Airspace System (NAS).

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of FV-I or the equivalent FG/GS-13. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience isdirect technical or management-level experience applying processes related to airport management, airport compliance with federal obligations and airport safety and certification programs.
