As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as Deputy Director, Office of Airports for Alaska Region.
Duties
Serves as Deputy Director for the Office of Airports, Airports Division Alaska Region responsible for the planning, formulation, direction, implementation, and evaluation of a variety of Airports programs/projects in the Region. This includes programs such as part 139 safety and certification, airport and system planning, capacity management, environmental processing, financial assistance programs (Airport Improvement Program and Passenger Facility Program), and compliance requirements.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- Certification /Recertification of a Moderate Risk Security Clearance is required
- A one year supervisory probationary period may be required.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of FV-J or the equivalent FG/GS-14. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is technical or management-level involvement in processes related to civil airport planning, environmental review of civil airport infrastructure development and/or civil airport capital financial processes. Experience with presenting to diverse audience to include senior executives. Experience with programs such as part 139 safety and certification, airport and system planning, capacity management, environmental processing, financial assistance programs (Airport Improvement Program and Passenger Facility Program), and compliance requirements. Experience with implementing the strategic plan for organizational projects/programs to ensure the successful completion of goals and initiatives.
