Duties
Conducts Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects, utilizes Theory of Constraints, and project design.
Develops Lean Six Sigma Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) analysis, documentation and reports by applying qualitative and quantitative methods to support process improvement, training, initiatives, and artifacts.
Conducts formal and informal training, coaching, briefings, and consultations to the workforce supporting CPI.
Applies Standard Operating Procedures and policies to develop successful LSS projects in accordance with agency processes and procedures, ensuring appropriate documentation and timelines are maintained.
Applies critical thinking and analysis skills to determine appropriate tools and techniques, developing Charters, value stream maps, charts, statistical analysis, risk assessment, implementation and control plans.
Serves as an advisor, coach, and coordinator of rapid improvement events and process mapping events, to ensure organizational and Lean objectives are achieved.
Develops and identifies approaches to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Continuous Process Improvement Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Applies analytical and evaluative Lean Six Sigma (LSS) techniques to solve problems, execute projects or conduct studies.
Develops and facilities training sessions on Lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and continuous improvement techniques to identify inefficiencies and enhance operational performance.
Maintains compliance with industry standards to design and conduct LSS projects, initiatives, and programs in all aspects of the major project areas studied.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
