This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), in the Hampton, VA Medical Center under the Nursing/Ambulatory Care Services, Telehealth section. This position provides critical operational and technology management to support and sustain clinical Telehealth operations throughout Hampton VA Healthcare System.
Duties
Duties include:
Responsible to assist the Nurse Manager/Facility Telehealth coordinator (FTC) in overall planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, directing, integrating, controlling, and evaluating CVT (video conferencing), CCSF(store and forward) and CCHT ( home Telehealth) programs within medical center and its associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
Implements changes in the delivery of patient care related to Telehealth and assist/advise Telehealth facility management in managing the CVT/VOD/MHV/SM/SFT/RPM-HT programs.
Develops clinical Telehealth programming consistent with the facility's strategic plan and measurable outcome criteria.
Acts as a resource person in planning, reviewing, or revising policies and procedures that impact Telehealth and its related applications.
Works collaboratively with the Medical Center's managers, and specific areas in the implementation and use if Telehealth and its related applications.
Develops strategies for program development and implementation whenever new technologies are being introduced.
Oversees the implementation and adherence to the national conditions of participation for each program.
Coordinates Telehealth programs with the VISN, advising Telehealth and facility leadership of policy direction for applications of Telehealth policy, procedures, and techniques.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/07/2025.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade gs-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Plans and conducts special projects or studies to analyze, evaluate, and provide recommendations on administrative and Telehealth Technical issues, provide technical advice, support, and assistance, maintain all paper and electronic files, reports and messages,

Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, LL.B., or J.D., if related (unofficial transcripts required).
OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. Possess equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education (in excess of the first year or 18 semester hours) and specialized experience to meet total experience requirements. NOTE: If using education combined with specialized experience to qualify, a copy of your transcript is required.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands of the work are generally minor. The work is primarily sedentary in nature and usually occurs within climate controlled and administrative settings.
