This position is established to develop, select, coordinate, execute, monitor, and analyze a variety of agency programs, including the Maritime Security Program, the Voluntary lntermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA), and other sealift programs as assigned.

As a Supervisory Maritime Sealift Specialist, you will:

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include: Experience with government stipend programs for the U.S. Merchant Marine. Experience interacting with senior maritime industry leaders, Coast Guard, and United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) leaders Experience with programmatic analysis. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Technical Competence - Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues. Organizational Awareness - Knows the organization's mission and functions, and how its social, political, and technological systems work and operates effectively within them; this includes the programs, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the organization Analytical - Analytical work often leads to recommendations for the realignment of functional responsibilities, the expansion or contraction of key Agency functions or other equally significant changes in the future direction of the program.
