Duties

Serve as Chief, Quality Assurance, Specifications and A-E Section. Responsible for administering and managing contracts with Architect-Engineer (A-E) firms hired to perform professional architectural and engineering services. Manage Engineering Division Quality Assurance and Quality Control Certification processes, design criteria and specifications development. As Chief, supervise a workforce of approximately 12 professional engineers and technicians to perform all aspects of negotiations and contract administration of A-E contracts for the District. Perform all supervisory functions to direct and manage Section workload and completion of work products. Accountable for making timely selections of A-E firms, task order negotiations, contract management, progress payments, and performance evaluations.
