This position is located in a regional office of the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS). The position is responsible for completing assigned projects associated with a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties related to regional finances, human resources, and administrative services.
One vacancy to be filled per region (see duties section below); final duty stations will be determined upon selection.
This position is inside the bargaining unit.
Duties
***There are two vacancies total. One vacancy to be filled per region. Selectee will be expected to report in person to one of the following locations:
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
Qualifications
You must meet one of the following to qualify for Administrative Specialist, GS-0301-09 as described below.
Specialized Experience
Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-07, in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Qualifying specialized experience includes at least three (3) of the following:
Experience with rules, regulations, methods, procedures and/or practices in administrative area(s) (i.e. budget, finance, procurement, safety/health, records, travel and/or human resources);
Analyzing administrative programs or functions and/or recommending process improvements;
Identifying and revolving administrative issues and problems; and/or
Preparing letters, reports, analysis and/or other documents on administrative matters.
OR
Education: Applicants must possess a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B or J.D, if related, that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of this position;
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: Applicable graduate education and specialized experience as defined above. The total percentage must equal at least 100%. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcript(s).
