About the Position: This position is located at: U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Maintenance Division, Supply Branch-Storage Section, Fort Cavazos, Texas.

Duties

Operate a variety of wheeled (from 1/4 ton to 22 ton) and tracked (up to 60 tons) vehicles in transport, storage placement, load carrying and equipment transfer. Operate large industrial vehicles (farm tractor, bulldozer, dump trucks, cargo trucks, tractor trailer, cranes, etc.) through confined spaces to avoid damage to equipment and surrounding area. Comply with environmental laws/regulations for the selection and application of herbicides and insecticides used control of control plant diseases, undesirable insects, and unwanted grass and weeds. Interpret regulatory requirements in placement, storage and shipment of materiel and equipment. Operate gasoline/diesel powered industrial vehicles in a variety of road, terrains, and weather conditions in accordance with safety rules/regulations. Operate large industrial vehicles on steep and rough terrain under changing weather conditions.

• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 100 lbs. in the regular performance of duties
• The duties of this position may be required to work irregular work hours after normal duty hours, Weekends, Holidays, Evenings and Nights as scheduled

Exposed to the environment, dust, dirt, fumes, cuts, bruises, falls and broken bones while working on, in, around vehicles, rail cars, forklifts, etc. Hearing protective devices and other protective devices and safety equipment must be worn at all times of exposure to the hazardous condition(s).
