The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April-October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: Spring 2024. Not to Exceed: 1039 Hours
Duties
Major Duties: This position provides routine maintenance on park facilities including, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical work. Assist higher grade maintenance employees in the performance of maintenance tasks. Safely and effectively, uses hand power tools required for the job and has the ability to maintain these tools properly.
Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment to repair and provide routine maintenance to grounds, exterior structures, buildings, and related utilities.
Perform minor carpentry activities. Repairs, replaces, or makes minor adjustments to broken planks, broken windows, replaces hinges, latches, and catches.
Perform minor painting according to specific instructions on projects to improve appearance.
Perform routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms, and making minor repairs as needed.
Receive, unload and process incoming shipments according to established procedures.
May perform other duties such as but not limited to painting equipment, masonry work, roofing, welding or assisting higher grade worker with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
Operate a forklift to load and unload supplies and light equipment.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.,
Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
