Duties

You will operate all types of transformers, oil and air circuit breakers, lightning arresters, secondary switch gear, cranes, motors, streetlights, and communications systems. You will be responsible for tracking expenses and estimating annual budgets for projects. You will identify problems with distribution system and corrective actions needed before situation is a safety concern or equipment malfunction. You will plan and schedule work assignments within priorities established by higher level supervision. You will make initial decisions as to manpower, equipment; material blueprints and prepares sketches, as necessary for complex work projects. You will participate in a wide range of personnel matters concerning subordinates such as, performance rating, leave request, commendatory and disciplinary actions, promotions, demotions, and beneficial suggestions You will supervise a multi-trade work force, and you will plan, organize and direct the assigned resources in the accomplishment of all maintenance work.

• This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
