You will serve as an Engineering Technician within the Public Works Department, PWC Naval Base Coronado of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will have experience with mechanical construction trades including but not limited to pipefitter, air condition mechanic, industrial equipment mechanic, plumber, sheet metal mechanic. You will have experience working independently reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. You will have experience planning and estimating recurring, corrective maintenance, small, medium and large maintenance/repair/renovation and construction projects. You will review proposal for completeness, accuracy and reasonableness.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying experience with mechanical construction trades (pipefitter, air condition mechanic, industrial equipment mechanic, plumber, sheet metal mechanic); 2) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications; 3) Planning and estimating recurring, corrective maintenance, small, medium and large maintenance/repair/renovation and construction projects; and 4) Reviewing proposal for completeness, accuracy and reasonableness.
