Duties
You will ensure that all accountable equipment within the Division is assigned to specific custodians.
You will provide management regarding Laboratory plant property procedures, as well as assist each Equipment Control Coordinator.
You will establish and maintain a valid and accurate inventory of government owned and sponsor owned equipment.
You will conduct reviews, inspections, and sample inventories on a recurring basis to determine the adequacy of equipment controls and procedures, and to ensure proper maintenance.
You will correct deficiencies found during the review/inspection.
You will maintain a detailed, comprehensive computer data baser of all delivered items.
Requirements

Qualifications
You will serve as a Supply Technician, Tactical Electronic Warfare, Code 570140 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY
This position has a Selective Placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The Selective Placement factor is: This position requires demonstrated experience with utilizing PC systems for data entry, tracking, inventory management, and disposal of a wide variety of equipment. This position also requires knowledge of procurement, building, safety, and security procedures. This position requires good communication skills.
In addition to the Selective Placement Factor your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-1/4) or pay band (NC-01) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Knowledge of Asset Management Systems (AMS) policies, procedures, and inventory database management; 2) Utilizing PC software to organize, perform data entry, track, manage inventory, and dispose of equipment; 3) Knowledge of purchasing procedures including credit card rules and regulations; 4) Knowledge of security policies and procedures in regards to classified equipment and building security requirements; and 5) Communicating effectively both orally and in writing.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Successfully completed four years of education above high school level
OR
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
