About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Duties

Prepares annual forecasts for operational rations and new mission requirements Responsible for accountability, requisitioning, receiving, inventorying, and disposition of supplies and subsistence in support of Installation and tenant organizations. Serves as a General Supply Specialist in the Subsistence Supply Management Office (SSMO) Accountable Officer (AO) at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), US Army Sustainment Command (ASC)

Requirements

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Due to the nature of this position, may require evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours to include overtime, as mission dictates.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes1) reviewing a variety of documents such as requisitions, purchase documents, cash collection deposit slips for accuracy 2) assisting with inventorying supplies and 3) utilizing an automate systems to process a variety of transactions such as purchase requests, items issued, inspection reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). -OR- Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or another related field. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Forecasting and Demand PlanningInventory ManagementSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
