This position is located in the Division of Finance, Planning and Resource Management Branch, Business Innovation Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C.
Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $275,000.
Duties
The Assistant Director, Business Innovation Section, engages and collaborates with colleagues both within and outside of the CFOO to identify, develop, and promote technology-driven solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications, applicants must possess the leadership and technical experiences listed below. These qualifications would typically be gained through serving in roles that require managing projects/teams or guiding the technical work of others.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must submit a resume that addresses each minimum qualification experience. Examples should be clear, concise, and emphasize your level of responsibilities; the scope and complexity of the programs, activities, or services you managed; program accomplishments; policy initiatives undertook; level of contacts; the sensitivity and criticality of the issues you addressed; and the results of your actions. Leadership Experience: Experience leading and coordinating projects, including establishing expectations, reviewing work products/services, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and feedback to team members.
Technical Experience 1: Experience in leading a program that drives information technology innovation, data management and analytics, data quality, and data integrity; AND
Technical Experience 2: Experience in developing a tailored change management strategy for innovation and transformation efforts, to include formal communication and training programs; AND
Technical Experience 3: Experience integrating strategic planning, enterprise architecture, program/project management, and IT compliance to drive the realization of the organization's vision; AND
Technical Experience 4: Experience building partnerships, collaborating with key stakeholders, and serving as a change agent who inspires positive action from others; AND
Technical Experience 5: Experience understanding a complex challenge from relevant perspectives, applying creative thinking, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to devise and implement a working solution that can be scaled as needed.
