About the Position: This position requires work under the general supervision of the Commandant for the Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellent with direct supervision provided by the Director, Office of the Chief of Space and Missile Defense.

Duties
Focuses on the strategic goals/responsibilities of Office of the Chief of Space and Missile Defense (OCSMD) and proposes ideas to prepare the organization to meet the changing needs of customers.
Plans activities related to Army Space Cadre identification, tracking, and reporting of personnel, billets, and metrics.
Maintains operational and situational awareness of all mission areas as the OCSMD Plans Officer,
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Top Secret security clearance to be obtained and maintained for the duration of employment.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to random drug testing. Selected applicants are required to sign a DA 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing; verified positive results may be refused employment.
- This position required TDY up to 15% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience in inputting personnel data into a variety of personnel management systems; reviewing life-cycle elements to evaluate progress in accordance with long-range plans; and proposing ideas to prepare the organization to meet the changing needs of the Personnel Development Office's customers.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02).
