As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will complete administrative support duties on behalf of OTLA in the areas of suite services, travel, event management, time reporting duties, and other operational areas.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Greets visitors, answers telephone, responds to general inquiries and provides guidance, information and/or directions to visitors. Serves as point of contact for ILAB's suite and maintenance.
Performs administrative and clerical tasks using word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and communications software.
Enters information into established databases and similar systems which track various administrative activities of the organization.
Prepares and processing documents associated with the travel, including communication with Department of State for electronic country clearances.
Submit information into automated computer systems to maintain and update electronic records and data.
Serve as office time keeper.
Performs typing on a computer keyboard wherein the work requires competitive level proficiency in typing as well as knowledge of office hardware and software systems. Use a variety of office automation systems and various software packages to accomplish work.
Obtains, analyzes and interprets routine information for making decisions or recommendations.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
- Subject to pre-employment and random drug tests.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the specialized experience listed below.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing one of the following duties:
Coordinating logistics for an office, including for international travel, suite services, and time keeping; AND
Reviewing or preparing administrative correspondence for an office.
