This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Anti-Money Laundering Section, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of administration of examination programs and related activities for anti-money laundering programs, Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”) and, counter-terrorist financing (“CFT”).

Duties
Participates in examination program(s) assigned to the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Section, including maintenance of examination policies and procedures and review of completed reports of examination for quality and consistency.
Reviews and analyzes Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/AML reports of examination, including those containing substantive problems. Drafts summary of examination results and recommended supervisory action plan.
Participate in Corporate and inter-agency developments in the BSA/AML/Counter-terroist-financing (CFT) area. Assist bankers and examiners in applying, clarifying and interpreting BSA/AML reporting requirements.
Develop and design various automated recordkeeping systems to effectively identify the institutions as well as track related BSA/AML examination findings.
Reply to procedural questions concerning the BSA/AML examination programs administered by RMS. Serve as a resource to Regional Offices and examiners on matters related to the BSA/AML examination programs and policy.
Assist in the development and presentation of training materials including serving as an instructor for training programs. Represent the FDIC in interagency activities pertaining to any of the examination programs assigned to the AML Section.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13-grade level or above in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience with policy development and/or administration of examination programs and related activities for anti-money laundering programs, Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”), and counter-financing of terrorism (“CFT”) and reviewing reports of examination for quality and consistency.
