Duties
As a Data Base Management Specialist, you will:
Analyzes, evaluates and advises management on the effectiveness of data collection and reporting systems. This includes in depth analysis and evaluation, on a quantitative and qualitative basis, the type and nature of the data collected and recommend enhancements to the data management systems to effectiveness implement OLG programs with transparency and in accordance with Departmental goals and objectives.
Analyzes management information requirements. Develops, analyzes, and evaluates new or modified program management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives. Develops procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of programs management processes.
Coordinates activities related to the CHUMS or other lender data entry system to collect and manage client information from loan application through loan guarantee and during servicing. May include direct interaction with HUD Contractors to advise OLG on the types change, modify or adaptations necessary for technology systems to meet the growing needs of Department.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis and developing reports; AND
- Making recommendation to increase the efficiency of data collections systems; AND
- Training and creating procedures for data collection systems.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
