Duties
You will serve as a senior level Computer Scientist supporting the C2 Information Systems Division, specializing in software development.
You will involves leading the design, development, requirements management, implementation an integration of Naval Aviation software systems.
You will be leading and working with a team if highly skilled software developers, developing software within an Agile development environment.
You will participate and/or leading software development project meetings, identify requirements, appropriate technology stacks/tools and develop acceptance testing and implementation plans.
You will validate requirements and perform preliminary analysis using advanced mathematics that will identify system performance and resource requirements.
You will utilize various software development tools that provide data representation, data structures, database relationships, data warehousing, data mining, operating systems, computer languages, and network protocols.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and designing web and database applications; functioning aviation systems, which allows them to seamlessly integrate technical solutions with aviation-specific needs and requirements.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
