This position will serve as the Substance Abuse Director for the Lawton Indian Hospital, Lawton, OK. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and manage substance abuse programs and services. This position will report to the Supervisory Behavioral Health Program Specialist of the Lawton Indian Hospital.
Duties
Direct the operations of the Substance Abuse Behavioral Health Clinic within the Lawton Service Unit.
Develop and implement treatment plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to substance abuse services.
Work closely with community organizations to increase awareness and provide education about substance abuse prevention and resources.
Provide diagnostic, treatment, referral crisis intervention, and consultation, services for psychiatric patients.
Conduct psychotherapies for children, adolescents, and adults.
Manage program budgets for drug and alcohol abuse services.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
You will need to meet one of the following basic requirements:
Degree: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with a major study in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position, OR
Experience: 4-years of experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field, OR
Combination of education and experience that provided knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: have direct experience in supervising, monitoring and directing the operations of a Behavioral Health Clinic and performing clinician duties such as diagnostic treatment, referral, crisis intervention, and consultation services for psychiatric patients in a hospital setting.
Supervisory Abilities: This is a supervisory position, in addition to the qualification requirements described above, must have demonstrated in their work experience or training, that they possess, or have the potential to develop, the qualities of successful management, as required for the position.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR:
Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid, current, unrestricted license or certification in a state as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor - Supervisor (LADC-S) or a Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor Supervisor (LAADC-S) in accordance with State or professional standards
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
