Duties

This position is with the Office of Inspector General, Immediate Office, Office of Chief of Staff in Washington, District of Columbia. This office directly supports the Inspector General, the Deputy Inspector General, and other senior OIG leadership on the full range of OIG activities, including legislative, strategic, and risk management matters. As the Deputy Chief of Staff, you report to the Chief of Staff (COS) and work towards improving performance and overall quality of the delivery of the OIG mission and products. Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates (Federal employees) must meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date. Minimum Qualifications for GS-15: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level. performing "ALL" of the below. Resume must fully demonstrate and support "ALL" of the following to be considered. Developing detailed analyses of a variety of programs, functions, and processes related to both short and long-term planning according to an organization's vision and strategy, Providing strategic or policy direction for programs, functions, and processes of significant interest to an organization, Identifying and recommending solutions to senior leaders that often involve highly complex matters and require in-depth analyses, Persuading internal and external stakeholders to favorably accept an organization's position and actions, especially on critical or sensitive issues, Developing consistent messaging and theming across work products, programs, and functions, AND Managing multiple projects involving different teams and functions, consistently working towards accomplishing milestones and goals. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-15 level.
