About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Industrial Operations, RCV & Power Generation Division, Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Duties
Coordinate materiel planning requirements for assigned commodities.
Verify materiel is on hand for scheduled production.
Monitor supply contracts to verify vendor compliance with government requirements.
Brief management on material issues that could affect production.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must submit a Financial Disclosure (OGE 450) statement upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification.
Qualifications
This position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee, and maybe extended up to a maximum of 5 years.
Temporary promotions or reassignments may be made permanent without further competition.Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) verifying vendor/contractor compliance with requirements for schedule, cost, and quality; 2) collecting materiel consumption data in order to plan parts requirements for a production or maintenance program AND 3) evaluating problems with supply systems and coordinating requests for system changes.
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
